I am new to this forum so thanks for having me. Second, I am posting this here because I am unsure where my problems are. I recently upgrades my computer by installing an Asus M5a99X EVO R2.0 mother board with a Amd Radeon HD6670 graphics board. I am using the AMD Phenom 965 cpu from my previous board that was forking fine. I wanted to upgrade to a front usb3 which my old Asus board did not offer. Since I was getting the annoying "piracy" notifications for using my original windows7 on my new old board, I also bought a Dell builders 7 home premium disc. I installed everything and had a few quick adjustments and everything works fine except for one problem. After entering sleep mode or being shut down, the front side power light dims but does not shut off and the computer will not restart normally. Everything shuts off inside the case, fans, hard drive, front dash etc except the light on the board that indicated the power to the board in on and seemingly the keyboard might be on but without the computer working, this is hard to determine. The computer will work properly when asked to restart on software or update installations, just not normal. I have to turn off the power supply and turn it back on and then it will restart normally. The software seems to be working as I get the "do I want to restart normally" message when restarted from sleep mode. I also installed a frontside 5.25 Media Dashboard with the rebuild. I changed the wireless mouse out because the old one did not seem to work as well with the new board which did not help. Some folks said it might be the PS as my old one was 450 watt and they felt it possibly was the problem so I installed a Thermalake, same as case, 600 watt unit. Again, no change. Since my "expertise" is somewhat limited and really lacking in areas like bios and software this is only a guess but I think my problems might be in these areas. Either that or I may have a bad board but Asus ran some tests and say no. I am at the end of my abilities so HELP PLEASE if you can!
