I have two computers. My main system in my office, which is wireless networked to a computer in the living room. I use my main system for everything, including writing my blog. My living room compute,r I just use to surf the net, watch videos that I uploaded to it, or whatever.
I use Google Blogger for my blog, which is science fiction-based. When I'm embedding a video in blogger, you probably know that to increase the size of it for better viewing, all you have to do is go into the HTML in Blogger and change the height and width. I have found that 600 x 390 works good for the videos. The default for it is 385 x 485. Now the weird part. When I look at my blog on the main computer everything looks fine, but when I look at it on my widescreen TV (which is what the living room) the videos, just looking at them still are significantly wider than on my main computer, at least in Blogger. I wish I had a screenshot to show you what I mean, but they basically are about an inch and a half wide and slightly higher in height.
In other words, it looks crappy. So I actually don't know right now, which computer has the correct blog image. I need to look at somebody else's computer. My gut instinct tells me it's the TV, which is a Samsung 40 incher. Other than that I can't thing of anything else it might be/ I have heard that sometimes widescreen TV's don't play well with computers and I've double-checked all the resolutions and everything.
I can go back into Blogger in my office and change the videos back to 600 x 390, and then they look perfect on my widescreen monitor (Also a Samsung...a 27 incher), but if I do that, then go look at Blogger on my TV, sure enough, the videos are wider, and overlap an important dividing line. So I'm just looking for some suggestions. By the way I'm up to date on both my graphics drivers, Nvidia GT 630
