My pc is driving me crazy. I frequently get dumped for a few seconds at a time by my internet provider. When I do, my wireless adaptor automatically connects to this unsecured public network somewhere around me instead of reconnecting to my network. I've gone in to network settings and unchecked automatically connect to the public one and told it to connect to my network. Next time I'm dropped, it switches right back to connecting to the public one and the option to automatically connect is checked again. I have to be missing something somewhere. Is there any way to permanently tell my adaptor to never, ever, ever connect to a particular network and have those settings stay? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
