I have used a D-Link model DIR-615 router for several years.
I connect a desktop pc, a Blueray Player and a wireless printer to it and all worked fine until I changed the router's wireless security from WEP to WPA personal.
The Blueray and the printer will connect wireless now but the PC just shows a red X where the signal indication should be when I click the internet icon on the bottom right corner of the screen.
I can change the router back to WEP and it will show the router signal but will not connect
Sometimes the trouble shooter says that the security does not match.
When I hover the mouse over the network name where the red x is, it says the signal strength is excellent but it does not show the bars as it did before. It shows the security as WPA-PSK.
Can anyone help with this problem.
The PC is a Gateway desktop with windows 7 home premium.
