I have an old PC (Specs in the Computer specs next to my username)
It was working fine for a few days but now it gets stuck in a boot loop. Safe Mode options don't work, repair windows doesn't work either and rather then trying to fix it, I decided it needed a format after not using it for about a year.
I've burnt Win7 onto a Disc and onto a USB using the Windows 7 USB DVD Download Tool. Configured my BIOS to boot from both which it does, however right after the "Windows is loading files..." it moves on to "Starting windows" and stays on there (the WIndows logo doesn't show either). Can't figure out why. I've fallen asleep for about an hour waiting for it and from past experiences it usually doesn't take that long..
My current computer uses Win 8 so I thought I'd give that a shot via USB and DVD and same issue. It shows the Windows Logo however the Loading circle just continues to spin. I've been stuck there for about an hour now.
I had a look inside the computer while it was running, everything seems to be connected right (hasn't been touched) so before this post, I unplugged everything, gave it a nice clean (just a cloth[not wet]) and placed every thing back in.
ALSO what's the difference between these options:
USB - FDD
USB - ZIP
USB-CDROM
USB-HDD
