I've been getting frequent "Display driver stopped responding and has recovered" errors, and even the occasional BSOD, with by HP 2311x Monitor, so I decided to see if I needed a display driver update. On HP's site I downloaded the driver "Version 3.00 REV. A (9 Jan 2013)" (Filename: sp60378.exe) and ran it. I went through the installation process and everything seemed to go fine, and I rebooted. It didn't seem to help. So I looked at the driver properties for the monitor in Devices and Printers, and it says Driver Provider HP, Driver Date 8/16/2010, and Driver Version 1.0.0.0. Any idea why this would be?
