When I switch on laptop it initially seems to start booting normally, gets to "Starting Windows" screen, get three of the four colour dots appearing. It then flashes very quickly across a DOS looking screen and goes to Windows Error Recovery.
Get two options:
Launch start up repair (recommended)
Start windows normally - Nothing happens with this, it just loops back to Windows Error Recovery
Start up repair option gives black box on windows background. No text in black box, but top bar reads: "X:\Windows\system32\drvload.exe". This box appears for about 20 secs then goes to Startup Repair box.
Startup Repair box appears and looks to start repair, but after 30 secs or so it says Windows cannot repair this computer automatically. Only option is to click "Finish" and it shuts down.
There's two hyperlinks in this dialogue box; "View diagnostic and repair details" and "View advanced options for system recovery and support".
I've looked in these, but it may as well be hieroglyphics as it means othing to me.
Laptop is a Toshiba Satellite C660D-1GR
Hoping someone can help get my computer working again
