No sound on Dell laptop

I have no sound on my laptop....it was there a week ago and I have executed the trouble shooting and they say all the drivers are there and updated and working.


I don't know if I inadvertently did something to mute things but the icon appears non muted and I can see the green bars moving up and down when watching a youtube video but there is no sound.
