Slowing, Not Responding, Bluescreen

Hi all,

I'm really hoping someone can help me as I'm having big problems with my PC and it's my main source of income. Not really sure what information is needed but I'll go over what I know.

PC was working fine on Friday, but randomly started having problems this morning. As far as I'm aware the only thing that changed during the course of the weekend was an automatic patch downloaded by an online game.

The PC is very slow to boot, taking maybe 3-4x longer than previous. Once booted it seems okay for a few minutes or until I interact with the desktop, then it goes to hell. It takes maybe 5-10 minutes just to open a folder and twice as long to launch a program. Anything that does eventually open quickly greys out and has the "not responding" error in the title area of the window.

I've repaired the registry. I've not been able to scan for Malware as on all 3 occasions a blue screen error has appeared sometime during the scan, 2-3+ hours in. I don't know what I can do as I'm unable to actually use the PC itself for long enough to be able to diagnose the problem.

I need to get it sorted by tomorrow but I'm at a loss. I don't have my Windows disk and there's vital information on the computer that I need to backup before wiping. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
