Hello, i've been trying to troubleshoot a problem for a couple days now and i'm running out of ideas. Here's what happened when i first encountered this problem.
Nothing unusual at all until i started playing the new diablo 3 expansion reaper of souls. After about a week my game started crashing and my bnet client started acting up. I noticed that i kept disconnecting from skype as well. So i ignored that and went to bed. The next day my computer starts up normal but streams would not load saying flash has crashed (twitchtv). Updated plugins on firefox thinking there were issues with those with no luck. So i went to work, came back and my computer was still running. I decide to do a scan on malwarebytes on safemode and it found nothing. This is where everything went really downhill. I started experiencing blue screens from either playing a game or doing nothing. Eventually it led to me not being able to get into windows. So i was working in safemode to try and trouble shoot and eventually i couldnt even get in there.
So here i am now. To make this easier, things i've tried:
system restore - says i must specify which windows installation to restore
chkdsk - found and repaired things i could not read all of it i didn't know how to scroll up in cmd with only a keyboard
startup repair - failed, says startup repair offline
windows cd repair - says this version of system recovery is not compatible blah blah
bootrec.exe - got messed up even more, but windows cd repair actually fixed it. still in infinite boot cycle
installing windows over the old one - theres an error with one or more of the files
sfc scannow - says another repair is in progress must let it finish
made my c: drive with windows active from disk part in cmd
last option would be to simply wipe the drive. any ideas? or could my hd be completely dead. Which is weird because i didn't notice any signs of it failing.
