I want to buy Windows 7. How difficult is it to download? I have spoken to one fo our local experts. He'll do it for me. He says my exisiting pc will just about run W7, but I have only 1.93 gig and I ought to have 2 min. My pc can also support up to !E11, so far I've got IE8 only.
But he says I cannot just buy/download W7. I have to back up / remove and replace / clean everything out before switching. I always suspect any computer shop that tells me that. They all seem to try to add value by doing stuff I don't necessarily need, but my general ignorance usually persuades me to trust such people. And it always sounds like just a glorified 'switch it off and then on again' action. Perhaps I'm wrong in that?
It will all cost around £225-300, incl. extra ram. I'll pay this if I must ; does it sound feasible?
