laptop is locked, can't get into bios

This is a HP Pavilion g41125dx laptop, os Win7 that I am working on for a friend. When the laptop is 1st turned on it jumps into the blue windows screen asking for a password. I looked up online for the cmd to open the bios since nether F1 or F2 were opening the bios. It turns out that F10 opens the bios. But still the bios won't open, the laptop still jumps to the blue windows password screen. I then tried pulling the hard drive to see what happens when it try's to boot (it should come with something like "no bootable drive found"). With the hard drive pulled out, nothing in the cd/dvd- rom drive and no other usb flash drives connected. The blue windows screen asking for a password still pops up. I can't get around it, bypass it or anything else. Does anyone have any answers please.
