Hey guys.
My big problem at the moment is that a handful of my programs - typically always the ones I want to use - only run once per time I boot my PC! I start up my PC, run said game or program (including Vegas, Banished, SWTOR, TESO, Thief and many more) and they run fine. No problems at all, I can play the game or run the program for as long as I want, no issues there.
If I stop the program and try to run it again.. Nada. I can run it the first time for as long or as short as I can (trust me, on TESO Beta weekend I gave it a good 8-10 hour test and when trying to fiddle with settings it's literally been a start program/stop program procedure).
However, if I reboot my PC, same thing happens - Play, close, try to launch, nothing, reboot.
I've taken a look at task manager whilst doing this (I'll forewarn you now, I have the Computer knowledge of a moose) and I've noticed the process opens (and on Steam it says I'm ingame) for literally 1-2 seconds. Also sometimes it gives me a crash report but most programs just act as if it wasn't even running, no error report at all.
I've tried a huge and probably unnecessary array of things, including antivirus, antimalware, safemodes, compatibility modes, new profiles, uninstalling almost all programs on my PC, my father has gone through bootup/running processes and says all are fine.
My PC specs are as follows:
i5 2500k
GTX 560ti
8GB Corsair RAM
Windows 7 x64
The last resort I have is to reinstall but I don't want to put even MORE time into it if I'm just missing the obvious.
