Noticed when bringing up a file folder window, the menu bar was missing. In the past, on Win XP, I used View on the menu bar to change the display format between Thumbnails, List, Details etc. I noticed that Windows 7 usually defaults graphic files to Thumbnails and, lacking the menu bar, wondered how to change view to Details.
Finally, I discovered that by left-click (context menu) I could access the View choices to make the display change.
It is always a learning process when the O/S changes. You are often unable to perform operations you used comfortably and often in the past and need to discover new ways to do familiar tasks.
