Hello,
I am trying to remove Ubuntu from a hard drive and replace with Windows 7 (I have the CD). At first I changed settings in BIOS to boot from CD but when I rebooted with the Windows 7 CD in, it still went straight to linux. So I removed the Harddrive and connected it to my other computer and used windows partition manager to completely format the drive to a blank partition. I put the HDD back in the laptop and rebooted. Now I get:
error: unknown filesystem
grub rescue> _
please help, I cannot find the solution in any forums to get my computer to boot from the CD now that GRUB is blocking it!
Thanks,
G
