I've recently been having trouble getting online after a period of online/offline use.
The only way I've been able to resolve the problem has been to restart, then the problem
disappears, back online no problem.
I had a quick look around the site, and I read a thread with similar problems to me.. http://forums.techguy.org/windows-7/...-freezing.html ...
that recommended the use of AdwCleaner.exe.
I followed the advice re: AdwC..., and since then all seems to be well.
One thing I noticed in the log, amongst various other deletions, was the prevalence of Babylon
stuff still on my system.
I'd had no end of grief a while back trying to get rid of it after the offspring had downloaded it, and I thought it had all been deleted.
I also use SAS and Malwarebytes, so would it have been Babylon causing the freezes, and the restarting getting rid of the problem a known temporary fix?
Hopefully my system will behave itself now, so thanks flavallee for your help in roundabout way! :0)
(If not, I may be back in a short while............)
