What can be happening.
I'm trying to restore a Sony Vaio to Factory settings through the recovery partition.
When I boot up the PC through the INSTALL button, it says Boot Mgr is missing.
I used alt+F10, nothing works!
Tried F8 but it wont go to repair the computer, it asks me to insert bootable media.
I restarted the PC to boot normally, tried the install button while on desktop and the recovery media isn't working. It's asking me to insert an Optical media when there a Recovery Partition on the Laptop.
The Recovery Partiton is not visible in explorer (I thought that didn't matter when accessing it from startup).
I went into Disk Management and tried to add a letter to the Recovery Partition.
The only option I get when I right-click is "HELP". Nothing Else!
How do I get more options on this partition?
I wanted to run cmd prompt but cautious not to erase the partition in the process.
I'm guessing cmd prompt will be the eventual way to go but I dont know the commands.
Thanks... Waiting...
