Safari freezing/refreshing.

My good lady Wife is having problems with Safari constantly refreshing and freezing while online.

I think it's because Safari is not compatible with a Windows PC.

I use FF, the offspring use IE, no bother.
Acer PC, running Win 7 Pro.

Is there something wrong that can be fixed/updated, or does the Missus need to change her browser?
I was told there were some conflicts with Adobe?
