In November 2013 I began seeing this message on the screen every time I shut down my Windows 7 Dell Inspiron desktop: "Please do not power off or unplug your machine. Installing update 1 of 1.." The screen holds that message for about three minutes and then the PC turns itself off.
Windows Update indicates that an "Important" update has failed to install: "Internet Explorer 11 for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems." This update is 56.3MB and was published 11/11/13.
I disabled antivirus and tried installing the update, no luck. Ran Windows Update Troubleshooter, it found four errors which it could not automatically correct, see attached screen shot.

Any thoughts on how to successfully install the update? Or perhaps reset it so Windows can start over on it? Or something else?
