First off, Hello everyone! I am not new to these forums, although I was not really known. I used to be apart of it a few years ago and posted and helped out here and there when I had free time. But I made a new account, and decided to come back for some quick thoughts/help on my situation. I am a Technician already, but just stumped - although I have a few ideas.
Essentially, it can be random. Any given time, but it is NOT often. It happens maybe every other day, and if it does typically only once.
Basically, say I just click a random icon, or I am browsing the internet. It can happen. Let's say I am playing a game (gaming desktop), it can happen. It will even happen if I leave it idle overnight downloading anything, with both screens shut off.
To clarify - in case you forgot the issue in the title - I somehow manage to get colored bars across the screen and the computer haults, forcing me to power down and restart.
But here is the other thing. If this DOES Happen, I am unable to just press the Reset key, I have to power it down entirely and start back up.
My MSI Motherboard always has an A3 at the bottom right when there is no issues booting, although it gets an A2 if this error happens, and I simply just reset the computer.
Other than this, the computer functions 100%. I reinstalled Windows 7 as of recent, just because I clear things out off of my Solid State (Only carries my OS) every 6 months or so. Since my data is on all three of my other drives, internally.
Specs (of this build, I have a 'better' build also)
Microsoft Windows 7 Professional, Service Pack 1, 64 bit
Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-2500 CPU
Processor Count: 4
RAM: 8163 Mb
Graphics Card: AMD Radeon HD 6870
Motherboard: MSI, H67A-G43 (MS-7750
If any other specs are required, feel free to ask.
