I have been having a recurring issue. A Windows 7 machine that spontaneously stops showing any icons whenever you go to attach a file to an e-mail, or browse your HD through Word to find a file to open, etc. I have attached a screen shot as an example.
Now I have been able to use the attrib -h /s /d command and this sometimes helps, but after a week or so the files disappear again in the same manner. Any ideas why they keep hiding?
