Have searched this Board but found no answers that are helpful. My granddaughters got new laptops for Christmas and I was flabbergasted to discover they had no optical disc drives. (Thought I was keeping abreast of new technology) Since computers no long come with a disc to reload Windows if your computer crashes, how do you reinstall Windows if necessary. With my desk top computer I burned 5-6 image discs to DVD's but since some laptops don't have disc drives how do you reinstall? I don't detailed instructions, just the basic procedure. Do you somehow copy the operating system to a thumb drive and if so, where do you find those files to do so?
