Solved: Network Problems

I'm running a simple home network with 2 PCs and one laptop all on Windows 7 64bit. They share a printer on my main PC. I'm connected to the internet with a BT Home Hub. I don't do a lot of file sharing so don't know when it stopped working properly but although all the computers connect to the internet I can't see files on each other's machines. I have been unable to turn on file sharing. I've run the various diagnostics which seemed to point to a problem with the windows firewall on the main PC. When I turn the firewall off suddenly all my computers can see each other. I've turn the firewall back on (using recommended settings) and network discovery turns itself off again. I could just leave the firewall turned off but probably not a good idea. I'm using MSE for security. Any help would be appreciated.
