Error When Attempting to Install Windows 7

I have a computer that was Windows Vista. It was heavily invested with tons of viruses and programs that shouldn't have been downloaded. It did not have anything important that needed to be kept. I planned on installing Windows 7 so I ran the windows 7 upgrader to ensure it would work, and it passed the tests.

I wiped the hard drive. I then tried to install windows 7 and when choosing the unallocated space on the hard drive to install it to, I get the error "Setup was unable to create a new system partition or locate an existing system partition. See the setup log files for more information."

I'm using a bootable usb flash drive. The iso is an official windows 7 iso from this site: http://www.w7forums.com/threads/offi...wnloads.12325/. I have used this iso to install windows 7 on other computers and haven't had a problem. I'm using this program to burn the iso to the flash drive: http://www.pendrivelinux.com/univers...easy-as-1-2-3/. I have also used this program before and never had any problems.

After failing to install, I tried to install ubuntu on the computer and it installed with no problems. Then, tried installing windows 7 alongside ubuntu and still got the same error.

The computer is a toshiba satellite A205-S5866

Any help would be appreciated.
