Booting problems

I have an AcerOne notebook 2011 Windows7 startup. It was giving me problems booting after using all of the restore options. I finally sent away to Acer for the operating system disks (4 in all). The first time I used them all went well. I was given the option to set the system to the original manufacturers default settings ( as if just bought while losing all data/program files) or have my data files backed up first. I chose the latter. I let the notebook do it's own thing for hours but never seemed to reach an end point. I powered down the notebook and tried to get the disks to start over from scratch but nothing occurred. I used F12 as instructed but the system would give me the options but the only highlighted one this time through was EXIT. I have since used F2 in order to enable the F12 function. I have set the BOOT to USB CD/DVD (as the notebook doesn't have an internal CD). I have even gone to F8 and F10 in order to change parameters. It appeared to have worked the first time but not since. I have tried using FIX-IT UTILITIES but it only gets me to a point where it asks what directory my drive files are located. When I click on what appear to be the files it is requesting it responds with that file being invalid. I really thought that by running the manufacturer's disks that I shouldn't have any problem. I'm perplexed as to why it takes me to what appears to be the proper window but only allows me the option of EXITING. I should also note that when using F2 on some occassions I have used F9 in order to reset the computer to manufacturers default settings then enabling F12 to function. Again to no avail.
