Solved: cd/dvd drive won't work

i have windows 7 - the CD/DVD drive won't work. After I've loaded a disk, the system wonlt play it, asks me to please insert a disk...i rightclick the drive, run a Avast scan, the results say:
error: the device is not ready (21)
