I'm working on Mom's computer via the remote software Teamviewer.
The goal is to terminate the use of Zinstall (software designed to create a virtual copy of the desktop she's used to using-Win XP).
I have copied files from the virtual drive to the actual drive on the eMachine running WIN 7, but I need help directing her new programs/new computer to where I have deposited her old files and settings. For example, how do I arrange for the access of her old spreadsheets within the new Excel 2013. How do I arrange for the access of her photos on the new/actual machine? How do I arrange for her to access her old emails from within her new Outlook 2013? Her ISP is Comcast.
These issues seem to me to be annoying little loose ends. I have used SpiderOak, a cloud service to transfer her files. I have also transferred them directly from the virtual drive to the real drive.
I feel like getting these loose strings tied up will mean that I need a VERY patient helper. Anyone fit that description?
