Network Store Interface Service leaking memory

Hi all,

So the issue I'm having started occurring in July this year and it is this: after leaving my PC running for about 3-4 days without a reboot, I noticed that one of the svchost.exe processes was hogging a large amount of memory (about 2,4GB). Using the instructions fromthis page I separated out the services running under this single process into separate svchost processes, rebooted and left my PC on for another 3 days.

The same symptoms occurred in terms of high memory usage and the offending service is called "nsi" or Network Store Interface.

I've been troubleshooting this issue for a while now and am not sure how to tell what is causing this service to consume such high memory. If anyone can help me solve this I'd be grateful.

My PC's spec:
