Windows 7 startup repair/system restore constant use

Hi all,

Self-built and Posted first computer, as below, in July 2013. Seemed fine & fast for a few weeks.
Three weeks ago, for no obvious reason, Windows 7 'stuck' on the 'Welcome' screen. I painstakingly reinstalled from scratch. OK for a couple of days...then repeat of problem.
So then I used Windows 7 disk's 'Startup Repair' following F8 boot up; successful but it asked me to reinstall MalwareBytes Anti Malware (which I did from backup disk).
Ever since then I have had to startup the computer every time - either using Startup Repair and F8 boot, or - just as much - System Restore from F8 boot up. (As I'm always asked to restore MBAM after an eventual start, I'm just mentioning that - is that coincidental or part of the problem?)

Once the computer's has started up it's fine. But I hate turning it off! I've never overclocked the computer, btw. And I've never had a virus as far as I know.

Thoughts please!
